The Foundation partnered up with Certas Energy in 2014, since then we have delivered over 40 defibrillators, training and community boxes, some of these sites have been nominated by Certas Energy. Mark King has personally delivered every defibrillator with presentation and certification to all sites across the country. Certas Energy have been a massive support to our Foundation and we look forward to continuing working together in the near future.
In Loving Memory Of Christine Rodriguez
Sandra Webster, family and friends walked to the summit of Mount Snowdon in April 2018. The family wanted to do something in memory of Sandra’s sister Christine who unexpectedly lost her life, whilst attending her local gym.
As a family they expected to raise £2,000 to buy two defibrillators for the local community. They smashed this target raising an amazing £7,000. This allowed the family to donate 6 defibrillators, with certified training and one community box for their local community in Kirkby. Mark delivered all the defibrillators and plaques in loving memory to Christine Rodriguez. A big thank you to Sandra and her amazing family, for their continued support.
Jamie Carragher’s 23 Foundation
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has joined forces with the Oliver King Foundation through his own 23 Foundation to put life-saving defibrillator units across amateur football grounds and sporting venues throughout Merseyside.
Carragher was present at the gym when Mark delivered a defibrillator to the boxing club. About six months ago 2019 the defibrillator was used at the Rotunda Boxing gym and saved the life of a man training there after going into cardiac arrest. We have now successfully delivered 12 defibrillators and training.
