Now that the schools are back from their summer holiday’s, The Oliver King Foundation are back and busier than ever!
Last week we were delighted to discover that another life has been saved by a defibrillator installed by The Oliver King Foundation. We now know of 16 people who have been successfully treated by one of our defibrillator’s. Later this year we expect to reach another landmark by placing our 2000th defibrillator.
To mark this occasion, we met with the Department for Education to discuss the importance of having defibrillators in schools and how we can work towards ensuring all schools have access to this lifesaving equipment. During this meeting it was agreed that there would be a parliamentary event to celebrate the achievements of The Oliver King Foundation. This event will be in partnership with a number of charitable organisations who are determined to increase the provision of defibrillators around the UK. We expect this event will be held in November this year and we’re looking forward to it!
